It marks the final album with lead singer Jim Morrison during his lifetime, as he passed away just weeks after its release. The album leans more heavily into blues than earlier works. After producer Paul A. Rothchild left due to concerns about the studio recordings, the band teamed up with sound engineer Bruce Botnick to co-produce the record. This reissue on 180gm vinyl offers a fresh way to experience this iconic release.
