It was released in September 2019 to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the original album. It includes a new stereo remix of the album by Giles Martin, the son of Beatles producer George Martin.
Released by Apple Records, many critics have hailed the album as the Beatles’ finest and a contender for the greatest album of all time; the cover features the group walking across the street’s zebra crossing which became one of the most famous and imitated images in popular culture.
