Description

Original 1990 Europe Press. The record has been graded as Very Good (VG) condition and the cover has been graded as Very Good (VG) condition.

Cover shows some edge wear and a couple of creases on back of cover. Light ring wear starting to show on back cover. Cover is close to VG+. Unfortunately no printed inner sleeve is available.

Record shows some minor hairline scratches and scuffs under bright light. Plays extremely well, there is the odd background noise in some quiet passages and a couple of pops on track B1 but doesn't affect playback experience.  Record has been ultrasonically cleaned and now lives in a new rice paper sleeve

Iron Maiden – No Prayer for the Dying (1990)

Unleashed in 1990, No Prayer for the Dying marked a raw and rebellious shift for Iron Maiden. After the grandiose, synth-infused soundscapes of Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, the band stripped things back to a grittier, more traditional heavy metal approach—fueled by snarling riffs, relentless gallops, and Bruce Dickinson’s sharper, raspier vocal attack.

This album saw the departure of longtime guitarist Adrian Smith and the arrival of Janick Gers, whose fiery playing brought a fresh, reckless energy. The record kicks off with Tailgunner, a full-throttle anthem reminiscent of Maiden’s early days, while Holy Smoke takes jabs at televangelists with tongue-in-cheek swagger. Then there’s Bring Your Daughter... to the Slaughter, a controversial, chart-topping single that embodies the album’s rough-edged, no-nonsense attitude.

Lyrically, No Prayer for the Dying keeps things dark and intense, tackling war, corruption, and mortality with Iron Maiden’s signature storytelling. While it may not have the grand concept arcs of its predecessors, this album is a headbanger’s dream—packed with punchy hooks, galloping bass lines, and the unmistakable energy of a band reclaiming their raw power.
